5-Star Book Review – “Elle Burton and the Reflective Portals” by Peggy McAloon and Anneka Rogers

“Elle Burton and the Reflective Portals” is a charming fantasy story. It is suitable for all ages, entertaining, and just plain fun to read. The story is co-authored by a grandmother and granddaughter, which I thought was wonderful. The granddaughter, Anneka, is the model on the cover.

Elle faces a lot of challenges for a ten-year-old girl, including discovering a magical dimension called Fiori, where tiny winged beings live for the sole purpose of protecting children in our dimension. Elle is surrounded by great friends and family, including a character I would love to meet, Mr. Paws. Mr. Paws is a neighborhood cat who won me over from the start. There is a fun form of travel in the story, called Wish Travel. Who else would like to travel this way? I would!

If you’ve read my reviews, you know I don’t like to give out much of the plot, but I will tell you that there is plenty of plot, and plenty of room for more books, too. I can’t wait to read more of Elle’s adventures, to see more of what happens with her friends and family, and to visit the enchanting dimension of Fiori again.
