5-Star Book Review – “Implosion” by Berinn Rae

Implosion: Part 2 of the Colliding Worlds Trilogy, is the best alien romance I’ve read so far. As you might imagine, these aliens aren’t of the scary looking variety.

Nalea, the female half of the couple, is a strong feminine character who is completely comfortable in her action role as part of Sienna’s trinity (from Collision: Part 1 of the Colliding Worlds Trilogy). Roden, her mate, also holds a high military rank with his people and the role fits him well. There is a lot more to both characters than you see in the first book, where both characters debuted. Theirs is an interracial romantic love because Nalea is Sephian and Roden is Draeken, and yet they are both transplants because they are on earth. Maybe you can already see why the book was so enjoyable based on the challenges I mentioned. There are many more that I didn’t mention because I wouldn’t want to take away from your enjoyment of the story.

The highlights of Implosion are intrigue, interesting alien characteristics, interesting alien technology, and the romance between Nalea and Roden.

I loved their story, and went on the read the final book in the trilogy which featured a different couple. That review is coming in the future.

Do you need to read all the books for them to make sense? Perhaps not, but you will get a lot more out of the stories if you read them all, and in order.

When you’re in the mood for a Sci-Fi romance, give Implosion a try. I think you’ll like it.

As always, thanks for reading.
