Sing. Play a song that makes you feel good and sing with it. My favorite at the moment is Right Now by Rhianna featuring David Guetta. See? You are only 3:41 seconds away from moving your energy to a great place.
Dance. Play a song that inspires you to get up and move. Can you guess which song I’m dancing to do right now? Roar by Katy Perry, because I feel feisty. Time spent? 4:29 seconds.
Buy or prepare an exciting meal. You need to eat throughout the day anyway, so why not feed your spirit and your body at the same time? Do yourself a favor and let yourself enjoy your food without thinking the fun out of it. This is your life, and these moments are what make your life what it is. Enjoy your meal.
Visit with or talk with someone who makes you feel great – Oh, yes, grab the boost of a simple hangout, or maybe you’ll want to shop, or cook, or walk your dogs; whatever it is that you and your friend like to do together.
Watch or listen to comedy – Think about how your body moves, and how you feel, when you laugh. You have so many options! A whole movie, or funny pet videos on Youtube that last for a few minutes. Again, you are only minutes away from jumping your energy up to a higher level.
Give your “should” a break. You can “should” yourself right out of enjoying any of the life you’re living. Why not give your “should” a 30 minute break? Or more, if you dare. How about a whole hour? A half of a day? This is your life, and there are plenty of negotiable moments you may have given away to should.
You deserve to have peace and vitality in your day every day. In time, you may find that you have built it into every moment of your day. You may find yourself in a life where you can’t tell the difference between work and play, because you’re enjoying yourself so much. I want that for you. But no pressure. NO pressure. I wouldn’t do that to you.
