Brittany arrived as she put the last test batch in the freezer for the notes on which dishes would freeze well. Brittany was her on-call maid for days like this. The kitchen was destroyed. Brittany was happy to clean it for $10.00 an hour and food to take with her.

They sat together at the table tasting the chocolate mint cheesecake she had finally nailed. Brittany was making sounds of pleasure and licking her fork for nonexistent crumbs, saving her a precious question.
